PROCESS:

  1. Go through the existing sprint and identify what will and will not be done

  2. Go through each epic and identify what stories should be completed

  3. Populate the next sprint with shell stories that approximate the amount of work that can be completed

  4. Write up a sprint goal summary

  5. Communicate this estimate to stakeholders

  • Get stories pointed and ready for development.

  • Product team members relevant to the story being refined.

PROCESS:

  1. TPO refines the story in a first pass.

PROCESS:

  1. Review the proposed sprint goal.

  2. Review capacity

  3. For each proposed story, starting with the highest priority

    1. Summarize the story

    2. Make sure the team feels comfortable adding it to the sprint

  4. Finalize the sprint goal
